With the ops placement the garage appears as closed even if it s 99 open since the sensor isn t triggered until the door reaches 100 open.

Hi i can t find this anywhere on the internet whether tasmota on sonoff basic would support the a door opening sensor on gpio14 but without impacting the state of relay use gpio14 just for reporting the state ideally over mqtt.
Right now if the magnetic sensor is together it says it s off closed and i want that to be reversed.
This rule watches the tuyamcu packets for the garage door state open or closed via the magnetic reed switch attached to the door.
I played around with lua and micropython on my esp8266 devices but now the tasmota actually allows me to do something useful with a bme280 sensor.
Tasmota updates have changed some necessary settings.
Fnid 0 is set for dpid 7.
Backlog tuyamcu 2 101.
Tasmota compatible plugins have been developed by macwyznawca and arachnetech as well as others to add support for these devices in apple s home app and through icloud for automation ipad homepod apple tv 4 or newer required.
Here s what you need now.
The latest garage door sensors are technologically advanced and even allow you to control the opening and closing through an app on your smartphone.
Mcu obviously controls 3 tuya id s dpid.
This allowed me to put the magnetic half of the reed sensor onto the chain which made for a very clean setup and more importantly i can tell when the garage is opened even just a little bit.

Off course i flashed it with latest tasmota firmware and begun investigations.
How do i go about reversing whether it says on or off.
This rule toggles the fake relay on the tasmota gui and can be monitored via the power1 mqtt topic.
I flashed it with tasmota and configured it with the typical garage door template for tasmota from blakadder.
When pressing the button on the device the relay switches for 2 secs close contact for garage door controller.
Switchmode1 4 switchmode2 1 rule1 on switch2 state 1 do publish2 stat sw garage power2 open endon on switch2 state 0 do publish2 stat sw garage power2 closed endon rule1 1 fnid 2 is set for dpid 101.
I simply in my garage have one sonoff basic with tasmota 5 5 2 which controls some other thing but is so close to the garage door that wiring will be piece of.
Fnid 11 is set for dpid 1.
Sometimes the sensor may be beyond repair due to wear and tear and in such a case your best bet is to replace the garage door sensor with a new one.
After opening it i saw that it is a tuya device based on a tywe2s module and a stm8s0003f3 mcu.
